Having been a staple in the Grove and the City of Pueblo, Our Lady of Mount Carmel had its beginnings as a national church for Italian immigrants, but soon became a magnet for anyone who wished to come to Mass. The community was started in the late 1800's by the priests of the Society of Jesus. The Church was built, and the parish was established in 1920. It still offers Mass in Spanish and English to the Roman Catholics of Pueblo.

September 5-6, 2026
- Classes for Adult Sacraments (Confirmation, First Confession and First Communion) are receiving registrations for new students. Please bring any sacramental records, Marriage Certificates, and Birth Certificates to register at the office or after the class on Thursday evening. Call the office for more information.
- Classes for First Communion (children and youth) begin on September 13 at 9:30 am–between the Sunday Masses.
- We still need about $3000 dollars to finish paying off the new statue of Saint Ignatius.
- Confirmation Classes for youth will meet in the Church next weekend. Be sure to have all your sacramental records (Baptism, First Communion) and your Birth Certificate in your file with Marian. You can bring them to the first class.
- The Spanish prebaptismal class for parents and sponsors will be given this Friday. Please register so we have a count of the number we need.
- The English prebaptismal class for parents and sponsors will be offered on September 18. Please register so we have a count of the number we need.
- The Chimayo trip leaves at 6:00 am. Fr. Victor will celebrate the Saturday evening Mass.
