Having been a staple in the Grove and the City of Pueblo, Our Lady of Mount Carmel had its beginnings as a national church for Italian immigrants, but soon became a magnet for anyone who wished to come to Mass. The community was started in the late 1800's by the priests of the Society of Jesus. The Church was built, and the parish was established in 1920. It still offers Mass in Spanish and English to the Roman Catholics of Pueblo.

- The cash donations in the second collection are for foodstuffs for the Festival, please be generous. You can also put in your normal gifts for AMD and for the Building Fund in their normal envelopes.

Raffle Tickets
Get your raffle tickets to buy or to sell–this is a big fundraiser every year. There are only three weekends left before the festival begins!

125th Anniversary tee-shirts are on sale! Get yours for $20 each outside the Church.
Pro-Life Ballot Petition
The Colorado Bishops have approved circulation of a petition outside of our churches for a Pro-Life Ballot Issue to go on the ballot this November. Volunteers will be outside our churches after the Masses for the next few weeks.

There are Many Needs for the Festival:
Volunteers
Many of our booths need volunteers, please plan on helping to make this Anniversary Festival a success.
Beverage Donations
We are looking for donations of soft drinks for sale at the Festival, as well as bottled water. Please bring your cases of these to the Church over the next three weeks so we can begin to store them for the Festival.
Children's Toys
We are also looking for children’s toys for the children’s game tent. Contact Brittany to arrange for them to be dropped off. Also, if you can volunteer to help with the Children’s game tent, please let her know.
Cakes
We need CAKES for the cake-walk. Contact the office if you will be able to donate them. We can receive them Thursday and Friday before the festival.
Food Booths
If you would like to make a donation for the meats, cheese, corn and flour tortillas, and vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, for the food booths. Please put your monetary donation or check in an envelope marked FOOD BOOTHS in the collection. Or you could arrange to get the foodstuffs to us during the week before the festival on Thursday and Friday. Meats should be frozen when delivered. We especially need ground pork, ground beef, and vegetables for various kinds of food (Mexican and American) to cook.
