Having been a staple in the Grove and the City of Pueblo, Our Lady of Mount Carmel had its beginnings as a national church for Italian immigrants, but soon became a magnet for anyone who wished to come to Mass. The community was started in the late 1800's by the priests of the Society of Jesus. The Church was built, and the parish was established in 1920. It still offers Mass in Spanish and English to the Roman Catholics of Pueblo.

Easter Sunday

- Thank you to everyone who helped make these Lent and Easter celebrations so meaningful and beautiful: our musicians, liturgical ministers, those who decorated our church so beautifully, the Via Crucis en Vivo actors and Organizers. Those who led the Stations of the Cross., All the groups who prepared the Lenten Suppers for the. Friday celebrations. The Stations of the Cross., our catechists, office staff and our clergy.
- All of our groups will begin meeting again this week.
- There will be no Mass on Tuesday and Wednesday as Father Don is taking a brief rest after the holy days. But, the office will be open on Wednesday morning as usual.
- We want to welcome Briana (Brie) Davis who is our new weekday morning receptionist at the parish. She works from Wednesday through Friday, beginning at 9:00 AM to noon. She and her family recently moved into the parish. She has been the receptionist for FOCUS, an evangelical ministry to college students around the United States. She is fully bilingual.
- Beginning this month, Alexandra and Alejandro Agustin are our new Baptismal Class Catechists. We want to thank Patricia and her husband for their gift of the last four years of service as Pre-baptismal class catechists. Patty will continue as the Quinceanera catechist.
